Great Lisini Brunello offers Great Value.
With a family history in the Montalcino going back to the 1500’s, the Lisini-Clementi family has very deep roots in the area. Their Brunello (Sangiovese) vineyards were planted here in the 1930’s long before it even existed as a DOCG. Their family was key in helping with the formation of the DOCG, as well as the founding Consorzio di Brunello with family members serving as president.
Today the family has a large estate with about 20 hectares of vineyards for the production of their Brunello. The family continues to produce wines using traditional methods. They grow only Sangiovese. The wine is fermented after harvest in lined cement tanks and aged in the large casks made of Slovonian oak.
With careful wine making that respects traditional methods the family produces consistently impressive wines and the 2013 is no different.
