Founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre Gelderman, this Maison is based in Ay (My Favorite and home to many great Champagne producers including Bollinger), Grand Cru (Pinot Noir) villages of Champagne. With production hovering around two million bottles, they source about 75% of the grapes from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. Their estate is spread over five villages Deutz has rich, round, fruit-filled style that has power yet does not miss out on the finesse side either. A great Maison with many incredible cuvees. Owned and operated by the Rouzaud family: Vineyard area is: 42h total with about 46% Pinot Noir, 27% Pinot Meunier, and 27% Chardonnay.
